Watching Over the Eggs

I have been very busy the last week dealing with some personal issues but everything has worked out great. I still have come to the farm as I always do and all the animals are doing great and enjoying the beautiful weather. All the goats have been very active and they are doing their best to make as many babies as possible. We had our first new baby goat of the season on Saturday night her name is Alaska and she is beautiful and healthy and she is doing very well. It is also the time of the year that the chickens start to lay a larger number of eggs. This morning while I was gathering the eggs I was surprised to see how many had been laid. When I got to the final cage I came across a hen who was keeping a watchful eye on her eggs as I was getting ready to gather them. She fluttered around for a little while as well as complained but eventually she let me finish my work. I always make sure to be patient and kind when I remove the eggs and I also always encourage the hens to start the process over again. Well I will be back at the farm again tomorrow morning sorry about my temporary absence but I will be blogging regularly again so please check back soon to see how all the animals and the City Boy on the Farm are doing. Also take the time to check out our Facebook page City Boy on the Farm.
